We start our day trip in Marrakech. We'll pick you up from your hotel or from the airport.

You'll start your tour at 9 am in Marrakesh, with a pickup from your hotel. From there you'll travel about 2 - 3 hours to Ounagha where the Vineyard of Val d'Argan is.

After the pickup we start our trip in the direction of Ounagha. First we take a normal road and than a toll road for about half an hour. In Chichaoua we have a coffee brake.

If you like we can visit a carpet cooperation in Sidi Mokhtar after Chichaoua where Berber women make beautiful carpets.

Enjoy the beautiful tour to Ounagha in one of our comfortable cars. 

During de rest of the trip we will see a lot of Argan trees and 'goats in the trees'  and we'll visit an Argan-oil cooperation where women make Argan-oil. Than we visit the Vineyard of Val d'Argan where you will have a excellent wine tasting lunch (lunch and wine tasting for your own costs).  

After about three hours eating and tasting wine you have the time to buy some wine.

You'll head back to Marrakesh around 4 pm and we'll bring you back to your hotel in Marrakesh.

"TWO VINEYARDS ... ONE PASSION

I was winemaker at Château de la FONT DU LOUP in CHÂTEAUNEUF DU PAPE since 1977 and keeping the pioneering spirit of my ancestors living in Algeria since 1830, I created a new vineyard near Essaouira in 1994 in Morocco in the region of ESSAOUIRA until then virgin of any vineyard vat.

It will take 4 long years to clear, dig, dig, sinks and gradually plant the vineyard, build the cellar, its buildings to achieve the property.

Backed by the desert and benefiting from trade winds, DOMAINE DU VAL D'ARGAN is the first and only Moroccan vineyard exclusively dedicated to grape varieties in the Rhône Valley.

All the diversity, the richness of the Rhone vineyard is now beautifully represented in southern Morocco, new land of great wines.

 In 20 years, the vineyard has grown from 5 to 50 hectares and 13 grape varieties from the Rhône Valley are represented".

On the road to Essaouira you will find many Argan trees. These trees only grow in south-west Morocco. The trees, when they are forty years old, produce fruit that contains hard pits that again contain seeds from which the argan oil is obtained. This oil is used for cosmetic or culinary purposes.
