We start our day trip in Marrakech. We'll pick you up from your hotel or from the airport.

You'll start your tour at 7 am in Marrakesh, from there you'll travel about 10 hours to Merzouga, or a little more when we go via the very beautiful Dades Gorges.

During the long trip we'll make some breaks for coffee and tea and lunch.

Enjoy the view of the mountains and after Ouarzazate of the desert in our comfortable car.

At about 6 pm we'll arrive in Merzouga.

The next morning we'll drive you at about 7am back to Marrakech. You want to stay one day longer in Merzouga to enjoy the peaceful life over there? No problem, but you have to plan it in advance.

Merzouga is a village in the Sahara desert in Morocco, on the edge of Erg Chebbi, an area with huge dunes of up to 350 meters. Most people are here to take a camel ride through the dunes and get a taste of the remote Berber life (influenced by tourists).

For many travelers, Merzouga is the promise of Morocco as a dream desert destination.

Paved roads across the Middle Atlas from Midelt and east of Ouarzazate mean that desert tourism is booming. In high season, buses and convoys of four-wheel drive drive up huge dust clouds as they race through the hamada (stony desert) in time for camel rides at sunset, and purists regret the deterioration of hotels along the western edge of the dunes - although it is undeniable that the spectacular view of the dunes from rooms and terraces is unique.

The locals are a mix of Arabs and Berber, and generally welcoming and friendly.

Merzouga's luxury desert camps, strategically located in the middle of the great dunes of the Erg Chebi desert, also offer a spectacular nomadic experience. It is especially unique because of the "KHaimas", traditional tents made from camel skin that are mostly used by nomads.
