What to Expect

Summary

We start our day trip in Marrakech. We'll pick you up from your hotel or from the airport.

You'll start your tour at 9 am in Marrakesh, with a pickup from your hotel. From there you'll travel about 3 hours to Casablanca.

Spend a day near the seaside and in the city of Casablanca and enjoy for example the  Art Deco buildings or discover the nice waterfront.

A lunch in one of the restaurant at the end of the Corniche is worth a visit; from Restaurant Le Petit Rocher you have a beautiful view of the Hassan II Mosque.

Make a boat-trip if you like. Or see the Art Deco buildings near the Hyatt Hotel or in Habous.

It's also possible for us to organise a local guide for €75 extra. She can tell you a lot more about the city of Casablanca in the 3 - 4 hours that she is with us.

You'll be able to explore the old town or enjoy the waterfront near the Hassan II Mosque.

You'll head back to Marrakesh around 4 pm and we'll bring you back to your hotel in Marrakesh.

We are open to other times and places, just let us know.

The population of Greater Casablanca is estimated at more than 4.2 million. The population of the city is about 12% of the total population of Morocco.

In 1515, the Portuguese rebuilt the city under the name "Casa Branca". The Portuguese remained until 1755 when they left the city after an earthquake. It was rebuilt by Sultan Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah as Dar el-Beida. The Spaniards were given the right to set up a trade center and gave it its current name.

Casablanca became the most important trading city in the country and the most important place for European establishment.

In January 1943 the Casablanca conference took place in Casablanca about the end of the Second World War.

The Greater Casablanca region is seen as the locomotive of the development of the Moroccan economy; 30% of the Moroccan banking sector is located in Casablanca. For decades Casablanca has grown into a larger world city.

The activities of the ports of Casablanca and Mohammedia share 55% of Moroccan international trade. 48% of passenger traffic in Morocco is through Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport.
